Alan D. Tysinger is an attorney in private practice in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated cum laude from Baylor University in Waco as a University Scholar. He attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was an original staff member of the Texas Review of Law & Politics, a conservative and libertarian law journal.  He has practiced since 1999, focusing on plaintiffs' side personal injury litigation and administrative law, with emphasis on workers' compensation and nonsubscriber work-related injuries. He has tried a number of cases to a jury verdict and handled litigation from the Red River to the Rio Grande. He has argued in excess of a thousand workers' compensation claims before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation and the State Office of Administrative Hearings, where he has represented injured employees, their beneficiaries, and healthcare providers. He has appeared as lead counsel presenting oral argument before the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, and the Texas Supreme Court.  He is a frequent speaker on legal subjects, appearing before diverse groups such as the Texas Medical Association, small business seminars, the Texas Legislature Business & Industry and State Affairs Committees, and the State Bar Advanced Workers' Compensation Seminar. He lives with his wife and children on the family ranch in south Texas where they raise beef cattle.
